WWE stars Cathy Kelley and Kevin Owens experienced a terrifying ordeal while in Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Crown Jewel event earlier this month.
The two found themselves in a serious dune buggy accident while enjoying some off-road activities during Riyadh Season, an annual event tied to WWE’s premium live show. And the details? Absolutely heart-stopping.
In an appearance on B4TheBell, Kelley opened up about the shocking incident and how Owens’ quick thinking may have saved her life. “He’s been one of my friends for years,” Kelley shared. “I’ve had many conversations with him off camera. We just got into a kind of traumatizing accident when we were in Saudi Arabia when we were in a dune buggy.”
Kelley recounted the moment that could have turned far worse. “I kind of credit him for saving my life in that moment. We rolled three and a half times in a dune buggy. He said his initial instinct was to protect me. I was holding onto a safety rail, he was right behind me. We could have gotten much more banged up than we did. We were really lucky that we walked out of it relatively unscathed,” she explained.
Owens’ instinct to shield Kelley from harm highlights the bond between these two WWE colleagues, showing that their camaraderie extends far beyond the ring. It’s a story of resilience, quick thinking, and friendship that fans won’t soon forget.
Fortunately, both Kelley and Owens walked away from the accident with only minor injuries, a testament to how lucky they truly were.
