WWE fans got a treat this weekend when legendary luchador Rey Mysterio crossed paths with Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles at ComplexCon.

WWE took to Twitter/X to share the epic moment, posting a video of the two icons meeting. In the clip, Lyles couldn’t hide his excitement, expressing that it was an honor to meet the high-flying WWE Hall of Famer.

“WWE is a lot of entertainment, but it’s a lot of sport as well,” Lyles noted, giving props to the physical demands of pro wrestling. Mysterio, as humble as ever, thanked the world-class sprinter for his kind words. It was a moment that showcased the mutual respect between two athletes who’ve both dominated their arenas.

For those unfamiliar, Lyles is a force to be reckoned with on the track. He took home the gold in the 100 meters at the Paris Olympics in August 2024 and has three world championship titles under his belt. He also secured bronze in the 200 meters in both the 2020 and 2024 Games, proving his unmatched speed and resilience.
