Cody Rhodes’ ability to draw fans has played a major role in his journey to becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. WrestleMania 41 is still several months away but many fans wonder if The Rock will even compete at the event and now Rhodes has addressed the possibility of The Great One not wrestling at the Showcase of the Immortals.

The anticipation for WrestleMania 41 is already building, as WWE already announced that the next installment of the iconic event will be held in Las Vegas. The event will take place on April 19 and April 20, 2025 at the Allegiant Stadium and the hype is already incredible.

One of the biggest talking points about WrestleMania 41 is WWE’s plans for Cody Rhodes at the moment, as fans really want to see The American Nightmare duke it out with The Final Boss at the Premium Live Event.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Cody Rhodes addressed the possibility of The Rock not competing at WrestleMania 41 as he was asked whether he would be disappointed if The Rock didn’t wrestle.

Rhodes said The Rock’s role in WWE is much bigger than just being in the ring. He explained that The Rock, along with Nick Khan and Triple H, has helped WWE reach new heights, including major deals like the one with Netflix. Rhodes added that if The Rock does return, there’s a clear idea of who he’d face, but he encouraged fans to keep talking and guessing about it. He promised that WrestleMania 41 would have surprises, whether The Rock wrestles or not.

“Well, I mean this, and I don’t mean this in a smart-aleck-type way, but Rock is the director of the board, the man that is the final boss. Dwayne Johnson is different from the final boss. His outside-the-box thinking with Nick Khan and Triple H is part of WWE’s record era, part of this WWE Netflix era. So whether he’s in the ring or not, he is very much still involved with what happens at 41. I know when he comes back, I know who he’ll come looking for, and I know what to expect. But what I can say about WrestleMania 41 is: keep the rumors going, keep them churning, enjoy the discourse, but I think what you will get will surprise you. All there is.”

For the record, Sean Ross Sapp reported that The Rock hasn’t told anyone in WWE that he won’t be there for the Showcase of the Immortals. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see if The Rock will compete at WrestleMania 41, as fans would love to see that happen.
