WWE has a lot of things that they need to consider when planning out a show. This is especially true when they’re talking about not spoiling the result of the main event match on any show, especially SmackDown.

During the main event of the November 15 WWE SmackDown, Nia Jax retained her WWE Women’s Title against Naomi. This gave Jax a win after suffering a loss in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel 2024, but there was some discussion about changing one element of the show to better facilitate what they had planned.

The company revealed the graphic for their Women’s United States Title tournament during this week’s show. However, there was an idea that they might not want to do that just yet, because Naomi is in that tournament as well.

Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select that there was some discussion about not airing the tournament graphic as it aired, “because some in the company felt it telegraphed the Nia Jax and Naomi main event.”

WWE has a Women’s United States Title tournament going, and Bayley won the first match this week. The former Hugger beat Candice LeRae and B-Fab in a triple threat match to advance in the tournament, putting a former major champion in the running to hold that new title.

The finals for the WWE Women’s United States Title is set to go down at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14. We will have to see if the WWE RAW women’s roster gets a secondary title. As of this writing, they are very much in the dark about that possibility.
