WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry parted ways with AEW earlier this year and since then he has been making appearances in other promotions from time to time. He still teaches other pro wrestlers how to make it in the business and it appears he has admitted to being against workplace relationships in wrestling.

Workplace relationships in the world of professional wrestling are a very common thing and quite a few couples in WWE have met each other while working together as well, but it hasn’t always turned out for the best.

While speaking on The No-Contest Wrestling Podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr., Mark Henry shared the advice he gives to the wrestlers he mentors and his general philosophy in wrestling.

The first rule is about being professional. He tells them to represent him well by showing up early, staying late, and listening to instructions since others might know more than they do. The second rule is about keeping things professional with coworkers. He advises them not to date, flirt with, or form romantic relationships with other wrestlers to avoid complications at work as he is against workplace relationships in wrestling.

“They get two speeches. The first is, ‘Don’t disappoint me, you represent me now. You’re the first one there, you’re the last one to leave. If they tell you to do something, then obviously they know more than you do, so do it.’ Secondly, you don’t sleep with another wrestler. You don’t date them, you don’t flirt with them, you don’t hang out with him unless it’s work.”

As for Mark Henry himself, he confirmed an appearance in the upcoming season of “Dark Side of the Ring.” Regardless, workplace relationships in professional wrestling won’t be stooping anytime soon but Mark Henry simply had to make his feelings clear on the matter.
