Vince Russo Claims He Would Turn Around AEW’s Dwindling Numbers in One Year

Vince Russo is undoubtedly one of the most controversial names in professional wrestling history and he is known to make a lot of bold claims. That’s why it comes as no surprise he has now claimed that he would turn around AEW’s dwindling numbers in just one year.

AEW has certainly seen a lot of growth over the past five years but the company is also seeing a concerning decline in not just live show attendance but also a decline in viewership for all their shows.

Vince Russo took to Twitter and stated that if AEW President Tony Khan ever wanted to contact him, he would be happy to help. Russo explained that his advice is meant to improve AEW, as it’s not good for anyone if the company fails. He confidently stated that, as a consultant, he could improve AEW’s performance in one year, based on his past experience in the wrestling industry.

“If @TonyKhan EVER wanted to call, I would gladly accept it. I give my professional criticism to HELP. It’s NO GOOD for ANYBODY involved in the Wrestling Business for @AEW to FAIL. Yes—as a Consultant—I would turn those numbers around in ONE YEAR. Been there—done that.”

Even Matt Hardy urged AEW to book smaller venues for their shows. Nevertheless, we’ll have to see whether AEW will ever end up hiring someone like Vince Russo, as fans would likely hate that.
