The November 15 WWE SmackDown was held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the show was packed with attention-grabbing segments. Nia Jax was also on hand to put her title on the line against a worthy challenger.

The WWE Women’s Championship was on the line as Nia Jax defended against Naomi. Naomi is still chasing a career-defining moment like her WrestleMania 33 victory in Orlando, where she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a six-pack challenge. She had a big opportunity in Milwaukee and wasn’t going to waste it.

Nia Jax lost to Liv Morgan at WWE Crown Jewel 2024, and she’s trying to snap back from that big defeat in Saudi Arabia. That being said, the Irresistible Force entered into that match with a big intention.

This title match was the main event of SmackDown this week, right after the tag team title match ended in chaos thanks to Tommaso Ciampa. The match also got a big fight feel with the introductions from Alicia Taylor.

This match got started off to a fast start as Nia Jax took control. Naomi sold for the champion, until she moved out of the way of an elbow drop from Jax. Then The Glow applied some offense, which included a kick and a splash for the two count.

Nia Jax took control of the match once again, but Naomi fought back out of a headlock. Then, Jax hit a spinning elbow to take control back of the match for a bit. Jax took an opportunity to choke Naomi against the ropes with her foot as she soaked in the boos from fans.

This was followed by Nia Jax nailing a headbutt, but Naomi returned fire with a kick and then Jax was taken out of the ring. Naomi followed her with a dive and a flurry of strikes on the outside as they cut to commercial.

Nia Jax had control of the match by the time the commercial break concluded, as she stalked her opponent. Then Jax latched on a half Boston Crab onto the Glow. Suddenly, Naomi reversed a move into a pin for a two count to cause separation.

Naomi nailed a couple stiff kicks and a crossbody off the second rope for a two count. Then she hit a Rear View for a two count, and that was close. Nia drove Naomi into the corner, and then she nailed a pop-up Samoan Drop, but she didn’t get the pin right away. Instead, she climbed the ropes, but Naomi sent Jax onto the floor instead.

Naomi hit a splash off the top rope to the floor, and both competitors were out. Suddenly, they showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez backstage, attacking Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. That was a random assault, but the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are now out of commission.

Suddenly, Tiffany Stratton ran down to jump Naomi and then throw her back into the ring so Jax could finish the match, but Naomi kicked her and climbed up. Then, Naomi almost got the win after reversing a move off the top rope. Bayley jumped Tiffany Stratton next as Naomi got another close call two count.

Jax was sent into the ring post as Naomi nailed a split legged moonsault for a near fall. The crowd was shocked that the match would continue from that point. Suddenly, Naomi climbed to the top rope, but Candice LeRae attacked Bayley and caused a distraction for The Glow.

All of this gave Nia Jax a chance to hit a Samoan Drop off the top rope, followed by her Annihilator bomb for the win. This was a controversial finish, but it appears that they are certainly making things clear that there is a lot going on in the SmackDown women’s division.
