The November 15 edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw the beginning of a new opportunity, an exciting return, tensions flaring up in the build-up to WWE Survivor Series and the next chapter of a heated rivalry brewing, setting the tone for next week’s episode of the blue brand, taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As witnessed on this week’s show, WWE finally kicked off a huge tournament, pitting the top talent from the women’s division to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion, with Bayley securing the win in her scheduled triple threat match.

Next week on SmackDown, another triple-threat match will take place. The match will feature one-half of the WWE Women’s tag team champion, Bianca Belair, the ever-cocky Chelsea Green and upstart Blair Davenport, looking to advance in the tournament.

On the other hand, Cody Rhodes opened the show by addressing Kevin Owens’ actions from last week, when he attacked Randy Orton. After being revealed that he was suspended by GM Nick Aldis, Owens reacted to Rhodes words and being turned away from SmackDown on social media.

The Prize Fighter claimed that he was not allowed to enter the building as a consequence of his actions. However, Owens further revealed that Nick Aldis called him to appear on SmackDown, which he accepted and next week, he and Cody Rhodes will go face-to-face inside the ring.
