WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has had an illustrious career, with a standout rookie year that solidified his status as a wrestling legend. He might not wrestle anymore but he clearly watches football and that’s why it’s no surprise he showed support for the Pittsburgh Steelers during a commercial shoot.
Angle hasn’t competed in the ring for over five years as his last match was against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 and many fans have simply accepted the fact he may never wrestle again.
Kyle Brandt, who is one of the hosts for Good Morning Football on NFL Network, took to his Instagram and uploaded a photo of himself alongside Kurt Angle during a commercial shooting.
Angle was seen supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their game against the Baltimore Ravens, as Angle was wearing a custom-made Pittsburgh Steelers wrestling singlet. They were both in a wrestling ring as it was clear they would face each other in the commercial, which is set to air during the Sunday Pre-game for the Steelers vs. Ravens game on November 17.
“Steelers. Ravens. Sunday. How does this match go? (Kurt Angle – huge Steelers fan- was one of the most genuine and humble dudes I’ve ever met)”
Kurt Angle also made it clear he has no intention of facing John Cena during his retirement tour. Regardless, fans certainly enjoyed seeing Kurt Angle decked out in this custom Steelers singlet and Angle wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
