The November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened with a compelling segment featuring the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who addressed the events of the previous week, expressing frustration over Kevin Owens’ attack on Randy Orton and called him out to the ring.
Instead of Owens, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came to the ring. Aldis acknowledged the frustrations surrounding Orton’s absence, which was the result of Owens’ brutal attack. He explained that Owens’ behavior posed a significant problem, and as a result, Owens would be suspended until the matter could be resolved internally denying Cody a chance to confront his rival in the ring.
However, Rhodes wasn’t satisfied with this solution. He argued that suspending Owens wouldn’t make an impact, pointing out that Owens, who drives a Lamborghini, wouldn’t feel the financial consequences of missing a few weeks of work.
Kevin Owens might not have appeared in the ring, but he sure heard every word Rhodes said, including his last statement. The Prize Fighter took to his X to mock Cody as the bully who owns a tour bus for calling out Owens for owning a Lamborghini.
“Getting bullied for the car I drive by the guy who owns a tour bus.”
This was a direct reference to Kevin Owens’s recent purchase of the expensive vehicle, which he proudly flaunted on social media recently. On the other hand, the segment ended with Rhodes making it clear that he wouldn’t wait long for a resolution, leaving the next steps in Aldis’ hands. However, with Owens’ reaction, it seems that the next move would be made by him, potentially leading to these two superstars colliding again inside the ring.
