Cameron Grimes Secures First Championship Following WWE Release

WWE fans were deeply saddened by a previous wave of talent releases, especially when stars like Cameron Grimes were let go. Since leaving WWE, Grimes has been working hard on the independent wrestling circuit, and he recently celebrated a major milestone by winning his first title since his release.

Cameron Grimes earned a loyal fanbase during his time in NXT, thanks to his energetic personality and memorable feud with LA Knight. However, his move to the main roster didn’t bring the same success, as he struggled to find his footing, which eventually led to his release. Earlier this year, Grimes announced he was a free agent and has since been thriving in various independent wrestling promotions.

The official Instagram account of NewPhotographyStudios took to the social media platform and uploaded a photo of Cameron Grimes, as he was holding the Integrity Wrestling Heavyweight Championship in Australia. Grimes would also go on Twitter to declare the fact that he won his first title following his WWE release, as he said, “It took 10000 miles but I’ve won my first championship post WWE.”

This is most definitely big news for Cameron Grimes, who has clearly been putting the work in the indies. It is also to be noted Grimes doesn’t rule out returning to WWE one day, so we’ll have to see how he will prosper in the independent scene till then.
