Sting developed a strong connection with Darby Allin during his time in AEW, culminating in his retirement match against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. It was a wonderful moment for The Icon and it appears AEW was considering another venue for his retirement.

Sting and Darby Allin had an incredible match against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution, which was held at The Greensboro Coliseum and more than 16,000 people attended the show for Sting’s retirement match.

According to a report by PWInsider, AEW considered holding Sting’s retirement show at Globe Life Field, the venue for All In: Texas. However, they ultimately chose the Greensboro Coliseum for this special event instead.

Sting last appeared at the AEW All In pay-per-view back in August and there’s no telling when he will return to AEW television again. In the meantime, Sting confirmed signing a multi-year deal with AEW, so fans can expect him to be part of the AEW family for a long time.
