MVP made a surprising debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, quickly making a big impact by starting a storyline with Swerve Strickland. While he hasn’t competed in AEW yet, he is set to return to the ring this month and has already shown off some impressive MMA moves in preparation for his return.

The former United States Champion appeared at Bloodsport XI and he wasted no time in confronting Josh Barnett. It was then confirmed he will be squaring off against Josh Barnett at Bloodsport XII on November 24 in New Jersey, which will be his first match since July 2022.

MVP took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself training in MMA where he worked with Professor Kurt at GB Champions Texas. It was a sparring session and MVP looked quite impressive as he performed a solid takedown on Kurt, making it clear he was more than ready for his upcoming bout against Josh Barnett.

We’ll have to wait and see if MVP is successful in his return to the ring. Fans are definitely excited for the upcoming match and are hoping he will win against Josh Barnett.
