Matt Riddle did face controversy during his time in WWE due to issues outside the wrestling ring, which ultimately led to his release from the company. He was known for his over-the-top gimmick in WWE and has now revealed a ridiculous idea he had for his character.

The King of Bros had a laid-back stoner gimmick in WWE and fans would love to see him come out while riding his scooter, which many felt added to his character. After all, fans remember his iconic promo with Asuka where he talked about robots and then instantly sped away on his scooter.

While speaking on Barstool Rasslin‘, Matt Riddle revealed that he originally wanted a dirt bike for his character instead of a scooter. He explained that it wasn’t his idea to use the scooter, as he had suggested a dirt bike. However, Vince McMahon, who was in charge at the time, proposed the scooter. Riddle then suggested a skateboard, but since many WWE Superstars were already using skateboards, he decided not to go with that either.

“You know, it wasn’t my idea. I actually suggested a dirt bike. I had the idea of the dirt bike, and Vince—Vince was in complete control at that time—and he’s like, ‘A scooter?’ Then I go, ‘What about a skateboard?’ But then everybody in WWE was doing skateboards, so I didn’t do that.”

Matt Riddle also believes that the chances of him returning to WWE are extremely high. Nevertheless, fans do wonder how it would have worked out had Riddle rode a dirt bike instead of a scooter, but they have accepted it will never happen.
