Cody Rhodes took the spotlight by dethroning Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Champion, showing just how popular he is. Many consider him the merchandise king, and despite some speculation, it seems he still holds the top spot as WWE’s top merchandise seller.

Cody Rhodes is currently WWE’s top star and fans around the world love cheering for him, singing along to his theme song, and connecting with him in various ways. Fans also show their support by purchasing his merchandise. WWE has always been great at offering a wide range of merchandise for its Superstars, and Cody Rhodes is no different.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if Cody Rhodes is still the top seller of WWE merchandise. Sapp confirmed that The American Nightmare remains the king of selling merchandise.

Ross Sapp further stated that Cody Rhodes has been the top merchandise seller for a long time, except during live events when WWE-branded or Premium Live Event-themed items are more popular.

“It’s Cody Rhodes. It’s consistently been Cody Rhodes for quite a while now. Outside of occasional live events when generic WWE themed or PPV branded merch is collectively the top seller, it’s almost always Cody. There are a lot of strange stan accounts that have trouble coming to grips with that, but didn’t seem to mind if when we reported their favorite wrestlers as the top merch sellers for years prior to this. We have no incentive to report incorrect info on this.”

We will have to wait and see whether The American Nightmare will continue to reign supreme as WWE’s #1 merchandise seller in the coming months, as it’s clear his popularity will continue to propel him to the top no matter what.
