During the October 7th episode of RAW, CM Punk made it clear he would be going on a hiatus and wasn’t sure when he would be back, leaving his return date uncertain. During his absence, his status for Survivor Series has been revealed.
The Second City Saint is set to join WWE’s annual holiday tour of non-televised live events. With fan anticipation for his return at an all-time high, it’s still uncertain if Punk might make his comeback before the live event tour begins.
Reports previously stated that CM Punk was set to challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series. However, WWE ended up planning GUNTHER vs. Damian Priest for the event instead, as fans wondered if Punk would even appear at the show.
During a live Q&A on Backstage Pass with Bill Apter, WrestleVotes stated that CM Punk is expected to appear at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event. However, it remains unclear whether the “Best in the World” will simply appear or actually wrestle at the show.
“Last thing I heard was that he is still scheduled for Survivor Series. So, we’ll see.”
We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for CM Punk at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event, as it’s clear he won’t be challenging for the World Title at the show, so fans are simply eagerly anticipating his return for the time being.
