AEW brought a busy show for their November 13 episode, and you never know what can happen. The women’s division has been missing Britt Baker, but she made her long-awaited return to the ring this week.

This week on AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker took on Penelope Ford in singles competition. Fans were eager to see Baker lock up in the ring once again, as Ford continued her quest to gain a foothold in the women’s division.

Britt Baker’s most recent match took place on October 2, 2024, during AEW Dynamite. This was a special episode celebrating the show’s five-year anniversary at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In front of her hometown crowd, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, secured a victory over Serena Deeb.

Penelope Ford has battled back from an injury that sidelined her for an extended period. Before her recent AEW return in October, Ford’s last match was on February 26, 2023, in DDT Pro Wrestling.

This was not a one-sided contest at all, as Penelope Ford controlled the contest for a while. They fought through a commercial break as Baker took some punishment, and then she mounted a comeback when they returned. Still, Ford was able to get the upperhand, nail a handspring elbow strike, and a sloppy cutter for a two count.

Baker hit a neckbreaker, and then she got her glover out to sign for a Lock Jaw, but Ford nailed a dropkick to the back of Baker before latching in a bridging submission hold. Suddenly, Baker was able to counter with the Lock Jaw for the clean submission win.

This was a big win for Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, but only time will tell where things are going from here. She had a hard-fought win this week, and Serena Deeb made her way out at the entrance to make it known that she has her eyes on Baker. However, Baker replied to say, “nobody cares,” about Deeb once she made her way out.
