The Hardy Boys are one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of professional wrestling. They are still active performers, are currently a part of TNA Wrestling, and recently clinched the tag team titles of the company.

While the dynamic duo of Matt and Jeff Hardy does not seem to stop anytime soon, they have expressed their desire to being a part of a dream match with another top tag team who currently reign atop of the WWE’s tag team division.

In a recent exchange on X, one of the Motor City Machine Guns and current WWE tag team champion, Chris Sabin, expressed gratitude towards Matt Hardy for congratulating them on their tag title win and recent success in the global juggernaut while also teasing a potential showdown between MCMG and Hardy Boys.

“Thank you for the kind words, Matt! Coming from one half of unquestionably one of the greatest tag teams of all time this means a lot. MCMG vs the Hardy Boyz one day?”

This led Matt Hardy to state that he and Jeff Hardy would be open to squaring off against Chris Sabin and his partner, Alex Shelley, in a dream match that had never happened, much to their surprise.

“Your incredible accomplishments merit those kind words, so you’re very welcome. I’m betting MCMG’s best is yet to come. We’re here for it – It’s one of the few, actual tag team dream matches that’s never happened.”

The Motor City Machine Guns recently won the WWE Tag Team Championships from the new Bloodline on SmackDown. With WWE and TNA currently working in partnership and having seen multiple crossover bouts in recent months, a dream showdown between Hardy Boys and Motor City Machine Guns could definitely happen and potentially emerge as one of the greatest tag team matches of all time.
