NXT Deadline is less than a month away, and fans are ready for the second Iron Survivor Challenge. The event is set for Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The match is taking shape, with the first competitor securing their spot during the November 12 WWE NXT.

Cora Jade took on Sol Ruca in the first Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying match during this week’s episode. Both of these competitors had plenty to prove as they started off the tournament.

Since returning from injury in August, Sol Ruca has been trying hard to re-establish herself in the NXT Women’s Division. Cora Jade also just returned from a hiatus in early October, and she’s garnered plenty of attention since then. Jade has also partnered up with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez since her return.

Cora Jade seemed less than enthused about starting this match, and she acted like a coward heel in the beginning. Then they had a chance to lock up, and it didn’t take much time before Sol Ruca was surfing on the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Jade was able to turn things around, but Ruca didn’t go down without a fight. Cora nailed some forearm shots, but Sol returned fire with several shoulder tackles and some crossbody blocks. Then Jade took control once again, tried for a DDT, but Sol got out of it and hit her finisher for the win.

This will put Sol Ruca in the Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline. We’ll have to wait and see who else joins the Iron Survivor Challenge. The possibilities are wide open, but we now know the first competitor in this marquee match.
