‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey is one of the biggest names in TNA right now and there is no doubt fans want to see him in AEW somewhere down the line. In fact, his current status with AEW amid rampant speculation has been revealed.
Back in October 2021, “Speedball” Mike Bailey officially joined TNA Wrestling, transitioning to full-time with the promotion in January 2022. While he still competes in other promotions, he has found great success in TNA Wrestling and even won the X-Division Championship earlier this year, becoming a big name in the company.
While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked whether Mike Bailey was AEW-bound. Sapp noted that Bailey is still under contract with TNA Wrestling and has not had any talks with AEW, as his deal runs through the end of the year. While Bailey was spotted backstage at an AEW show earlier this year visiting friends, there have been no discussions about him joining AEW. On top of that, WWE showed interest in him a few years ago before he moved to TNA.
“He’s still under contract. I don’t believe they’d had any conversations, as his deal extends through the end of the year. Speedball was backstage at an AEW show this year visiting friends, and WWE has had interest in him a few years ago before he went to TNA.”
Mike Bailey is currently thriving in TNA Wrestling but there is always the chance could join Tony Khan’s company once his contract expires. Therefore, it remains to be seen what the highly talented pro wrestler will do for his career in 2025.
