Darby Allin is known for his fearless approach, both inside and outside the ring. While fans are used to seeing the daredevil push boundaries on AEW television, his off-screen antics are just as extreme. Whether flipping tricycles at Nitro Circus events or skateboarding through city streets, Allin lives for the thrill. And with plans to climb Mount Everest in April, he’s taking his risk-taking persona to new heights—literally.

Appearing on Levack and Goz, AEW President Tony Khan addressed the topic when asked if he’d considered putting an injury clause into Allin’s contract, akin to the clauses in NFL contracts that prevent players from participating in high-risk activities outside of the game.

“No, no I haven’t,” Khan responded. “That’s one of the things that makes Darby so unique and special. He is always at the forefront and always at the cutting edge. He wants to try new things. It’s that risk taking, that energy, these things make him so unique and appealing to the wrestling fans. I like to tap into that.”

Khan acknowledged that while Allin’s stunts outside of wrestling are impressive, the real danger comes from what he does in the ring.

He takes big risks, but it’s the risks he takes in the ring as a wrestler that are even more dangerous than when he climbs Mount Everest or does some of the craziest motorcycle stunts you’ll ever see. The guy is an absolute wizard in the ring and he’s one of the great wrestlers and risk takers in the world right now,” Khan added.

For Allin, pushing the limits isn’t just a gimmick—it’s a way of life. Whether he’s battling in the squared circle or gearing up for his next adrenaline-fueled adventure, it’s clear that he’s driven by an unyielding desire to defy expectations.
