Tiffany Stratton, one of WWE’s rising stars and the current Money in the Bank briefcase holder, has candidly spoken about the struggles faced by women in the wrestling industry. Despite significant advancements in women’s wrestling, including headlining WrestleMania events, Stratton believes that female superstars still face an uphill battle for recognition.
In a recent interview with Jazzys World, Stratton shed light on the difficulties she and her peers encounter. “I definitely feel like being a female WWE superstar, a lot of times you get overlooked,” Stratton said. She elaborated on how the men often dominate the spotlight, making it challenging for women to get sufficient match and TV time.
“A lot of times the men are kind of the main focal point and, you know, a lot of times it can be hard for the women to get time for their matches. So I would definitely say, you know, match time and just TV time is a little hard to get as a female superstar because a lot of times you get overlooked,” she continued.
Stratton’s comments underscore ongoing conversations about gender equity in the wrestling world. While WWE has made strides in promoting women’s wrestling and giving female athletes opportunities to shine, there is still room for growth to ensure women receive equal time and focus.
