A lot of fans are talking about ECW after NXT took over the 2300 Arena for one night only. This was a great boost of nostalgia, and some fans may also be surprised that certainly wrestlers from that era are still around.

Francine tweeted out an amazing photo of ECW Originals, along with a caption that said, “ECW will never die.” Then one fan commented to say, “I’m shocked Sabu is still living.” They probably didn’t expect for Sabu to see that, but he certainly paid attention to his mentions.

Sabu tweeted back to respond to this fan who couldn’t believe he’s still kicking in 2024. While taking a light-hearted viewpoint of the whole situation, the ECW Original handled things appropriately.

Lol thats funny bc threw out the years I was allaways been top shape in every company I wrestled ..but you r confusing pain with conditioning ..even now I in better athletic shape an any one I that pic I am also in the most pain.

Sabu put his body through a ton of punishment in his pro wrestling career. It’s nice to see that he also has a sense of humor about how he is remembered as a real Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal maniac in the Land of Extreme.

Francine appeared at the NXT 2300 Arena show, and she had a great time watching the massive women’s tag team main event. RVD was also at the show, as he put over Je’Von Evans in a big way.

NXT just took over the 2300 Arena, and although Sabu didn’t appear on-screen, the spirit of everything he accomplished in that building was impossible to ignore. Only time will tell if he makes an appearance for NXT if they ever take over the old ECW once again.

Are you surprised that Sabu is still around? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
