WWE eyes on it from all over, especially when their Superstars get out and do special appearances. This led The Undertaker to a very public situation where he had to turn down an interesting request.
The Undertaker was just at the Texas Longhorns game where he linked up with Matthew McConaughey, but he also spent some time in the announcers’ booth where he got to hang out with WWE RAW play-by-play announcer Joe Tessitore during his football job.
Sideline reporter Katie George chimed in to ask The Undertaker a question, and it was a very good one. While calling him, “Mr. Undertaker,” she requested that he give Joe Tessitore a tombstone piledriver “on behalf of the crew.”
This sent Joe Tess bending over in laughter, as The Undertaker took a second to think of his response. Taker then said that Joe has something very important to do on Monday, which is provide commentary on WWE RAW.
Joe Tessitore is very good at his job with WWE, and the company wants to keep his feet on the ground. That being said, Taker admitted that he may have people at the top of the company if he laid out their play-by-play man for RAW.
This was a hilarious moment during the football game. It’s a good thing that Joe Tessitore knows The Undertaker during this era in his career, because a previous version of Taker may have just needed to follow through with that tombstone request to keep kayfabe alive.
