Matt Hardy made his return to TNA at the Rebellion pay-per-view and Jeff Hardy followed suit at Against All Odds and now the two are one of the highlights of TNA television in general. Their life is truly worth making a movie about and it appears they have addressed getting a Hollywood biopic based on their lives as well.

“The Iron Claw” is a film about the rise and fall of the legendary Von Erich family, who made a huge impact on the sport of professional wrestling in the 1960s. The film ended up getting solid reviews from fans and critics alike, but it suffered a major snub at the Oscars this year, as the film didn’t get a single Oscar nomination.

While speaking on 99.9 The Fan, The Hardys were asked if they wanted a Hollywood biopic based on their lives similar to what The Von Erichs got with “The Iron Claw.” The Hardy brothers made it clear they are excited about the idea of a Hollywood movie telling the story of their wrestling careers. Matt Hardy shared that he has always been a fan of the Von Erich family’s story, saying it was powerful but very tragic. His wife knew some of the story but was shocked when she learned all the details.

Matt Hardy thinks a movie about the Hardys would show the ups and downs of their lives, including the tough moments and low points, along with their comebacks. He believes it would be a story with challenges, but one that ends happily, capturing their journey from struggles to success.

“I’m excited for it, no doubt. I was a big fan of the Von Erich story, and it’s funny—my wife kind of knew the story, but she didn’t realize how many brothers there were. She was just like, ‘Oh my God, this was great storytelling!’ But it was awful; it was tragic,” he said. “It’s very cool that we could have a movie like that, one with ups and downs. Some guys fall or hit low points, but then they rise up, ultimately ending with a fairytale happy ending, which is very cool.”

We will have to wait and see whether Jeff and Matt Hardy will ever get a biopic based on their lives as it would undoubtedly be a memorable one considering just how incredible their journey in the world of professional wrestling is.
