Powerhouse Hobbs had suffered knee injury during the April 24, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite and fans wondered when he would come back. They got their answer when he returned during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and now he has given his first remarks after his comeback.

As seen during the November 6th episode of AEW Dynamite, Ricochet needed a mystery partner to square off against Kyle Fletcher and Konosuka Takeshita in tag team action. His partner turned out to be none other than Powerhouse Hobbs, who clearly had revenge on his mind against the Don Callis family.

As the match was nearing its end, Ricochet tried to launch Takeshita with a hurricanrana, but Takeshita caught him mid-air and attempted to turn it into a powerbomb. Ricochet quickly countered with a pin attempt, almost securing the win. Shortly after, Ricochet went to the top rope and hit Takeshita with a Shooting Star Press. He followed up with a powerful Spirit Gun clothesline, sealing the victory over Takeshita.

AEW took to their official Twitter account and uploaded a video of Ricochet, Powerhouse Hobbs, Mark Davis and Will Ospreay. Hobbs told Don Callis he felt disrespected for five months, with no calls, emails, texts, or even a get-well gift. He reminded Callis of the times he took him to Oakland, showing him his hometown and what he’s all about. Now, Hobbs made it clear that if Callis wanted a fight, he was ready to go to war.

“Five months, Don, five months of being disrespected. No phone call, no email, not even a text. Not even a get-well gift. Remember, Don, I took you to Oakland, California. I took you to the warzone, I took you to the Bay—you know where I’m from, you know what I’m all about. So, you wanna go to war? Let’s go to war.”

We will have to wait and see how AEW will continue to book Powerhouse Hobbs in the coming weeks as it’s clear he has waged war on The Don Callis Family and he won’t stop until the faction is destroyed.
