Orange Cassidy has worked hard to establish himself as one of the most beloved stars in all of AEW, and he is one of the few stars who has continued to grow organically since 2019. With that said, it appears that he owns an astronomical number of Ray-Bans.

Orange Cassidy is known for almost always wearing sunglasses, even when he’s not wrestling, and he doesn’t mind keeping them on during matches if needed. While speaking during an interview with Good Karma Wrestling, he mentioned that he owns a large collection of sunglasses, mostly Ray-Bans, because he prefers quality over cheap alternatives. He’s lost count of how many pairs he has, but it’s likely over 200.

“Too many. They are Ray-Bans because I’m not going to get cheap sunglasses. I usually end up giving them away when they are on their last legs to maybe a nice fan dressed as me in the front row. I actually lost count after 200.”

Cassidy also shared why he often gives away his used sunglasses. He explained that when they start to get worn out or no longer fit him well, he bends them back into shape and gives them to fans, particularly those in the front row. He thinks it’s a better gift than used shoes since people are more likely to appreciate the sunglasses.

“I am giving sunglasses, Ray-Bans, that are slightly bent that don’t fit on my head correctly anymore. I bend them back and give it to them. I’m not going to wear them, might as well. Who wouldn’t want used sunglasses? Better than a pair of used shoes. You see guys giving boots and shoes. What am I going to do with these things? I’m not going to put these on. You can wear these. They work.”

Orange Cassidy is currently set for a huge AEW World Championship match against Jon Moxley at the Full Gear pay-per-view this month, so it remains to be seen how he will fare against The Purveyor of Violence again after so long.
