Mercedes Moné has made waves since debuting in AEW earlier this year and capturing the TBS Championship. With impactful feuds against top talent like Willow Nightingale and Britt Baker, Moné’s presence has cemented her as a formidable force in the company.

During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Moné opened up about her experience in AEW so far and how it has revitalized her passion for wrestling.

On her AEW run, Moné said: “My first, what, seven months, it’s been amazing… It’s been the best, so far the best I’ve ever felt in my career. Having these matches and opportunity, and just the chance to keep on growing and going. And having these new dreams and living old dreams.”

Moné emphasized her excitement at being able to pursue new ambitions while fulfilling old ones, particularly mentioning her dream of wrestling in Japan. “My biggest dream was to be in Japan, and now I am a New Japan Strong Women’s Champion,” she shared. “It’s been the best so far in AEW because this is where the best wrestle. AEW makes sure that I still have this really competitive fire in me and, like, I still want to be the absolute best. And I feel like I’m just getting started, really.”
