Jim Cornette Reacts to Donald Trump’s U.S. Presidential Election Win

Jim Cornette remains a well-known figure in professional wrestling and is famous for his outspoken views, often creating controversy with his comments on the industry. He has made no secret of his strong dislike for Donald Trump and has now reacted to Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections.

Ahead of the U.S. Presidential Elections, Jim Cornette had urged fans on numerous occasions not to vote for Donald Trump, describing him as a “criminal buffoon” among other things.

As it turns out, Jim Cornette’s worst nightmare became reality this week. This is because Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the U.S. election and became the new President, with a final tally of 277 electoral votes to Harris’ 224.

Jim Cornette took to Twitter and reacted to Donald Trump’s win as he stated that he now understood what Charlton Heston felt like when he saw the Statue of Liberty at the end of the 1968 movie “Planet of the Apes.”

At the end of the movie, the characters discover the remains of the Statue of Liberty, revealing that the planet they thought was alien is actually Earth, long after a devastating nuclear war as they were overcome with despair and cursed humanity for destroying the world.

“So now we all know what Charlton Heston felt like when he saw the Statue of Liberty at the finish of Planet of the Apes.”

While Jim Cornette is clearly unhappy about the result, the likes of ex-WWE star Tyrus and Kane are more than happy with Donald Trump’s win. Regardless, Jim Cornette will simply have to accept the reality of the situation now.
