NXT took over the iconic 2300 Arena for its November 6 episode, bringing a special atmosphere to the legendary ECW Arena. To mark the occasion, NXT went all out, booking some of the biggest names from the world of extreme wrestling to add extra excitement to the card.
It was announced that the Queen of Extreme Francine would appear during the episode, and fans’ interest was immediately piqued. After all, she has remained off the radar for a number of years, but they were getting her back for this week’s show.
In the main event match of the night, Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) took on Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, and Jordynne Grace. This was a huge match to cap off a historic episode of the show in the 2300 Arena.
That 10-woman tag team match gave NXT a chance to close out their 2300 Arena show by illustrating the kind of depth they have in their women’s roster. It was also a great opportunity to see the future of the brand in one match, and Francine was there to see it all go down.
Francine was on hand for the main event match. They showed the Queen of Extreme in the crowd as this match got underway. WWE also sent out a social media blast to make it known that she was on the show.
We will have to see if Francine comes back for any other reason. This was certainly a nice cameo to see her in the 2300 Arena, a venue where she helped make pro wrestling history time and time again.
What’s your take on Francine’s legacy in pro wrestling?
