Indi Hartwell’s recent WWE release has left fans speculating about her next move—and her former tag team partner Steph De Lander is weighing in. Released from WWE on November 1, Hartwell is set to enter free agency in 90 days, sparking rumors that she could join De Lander in TNA.

During an appearance on The Commentary Booth – Live Via Satellite with Jamie Apps, De Lander opened up about the challenges Hartwell may have faced in WWE, describing the feeling of being in an environment where hard work doesn’t always translate to success.

“I think as a talent, you can work really hard, but sometimes if you are not in a position to succeed, you will not succeed. I was in that position with NXT. I think Indi has felt that way in certain scenarios when she’s not being featured on television or whatever else,” De Lander explained.

De Lander emphasized how common it is for wrestlers to feel “helpless” when they aren’t receiving the right support.

“Almost every wrestler can relate to a period in their career where they’ve felt like that,” she shared. “You can pitch, pitch, pitch, but if it’s always falling on deaf ears, it’s like how much can you spin that wheel?”

Reflecting on Hartwell’s future, De Lander suggested TNA might be a natural fit for the former NXT Women’s Champion.

“So TNA is great for that, and yeah, if Indi wanted to do that, I’m sure there would be a place for her there. But I guess we’ll see over the next few months what kind of happens.”

With Hartwell’s 90-day non-compete clause ticking down, fans eagerly await to see if she’ll make the leap to TNA and reunite with De Lander.
