WWE’s beloved trio, The New Day, is about to hit a milestone few tag teams reach—a full decade together. Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston made their impactful in-ring debut on November 28, 2014, and with the 10th anniversary just days away, WWE is planning to celebrate in style.
Despite recent tensions between Woods and Kingston that have led to some in-ring setbacks, Monday Night Raw General Manager Adam Pierce seems determined to bring the group together for their big anniversary. In a backstage segment, Pierce approached Kingston with an exciting plan: dedicating an entire episode of Raw to the New Day.
“Well, I wanted to talk to both of you, but anyway, you’re here,” Pierce said, addressing Kingston and noting Woods’ absence. “This year: 10 years as New Day. It’s time to celebrate, man. You guys are one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history. Because of that, if it’s cool with you guys, I wanted to dedicate a special episode of Raw to celebrating you.”
Though Woods seemed less than enthusiastic at first, he acknowledged the opportunity for a positive change: “I feel like when this anniversary comes around, everything’s gonna be alright.” Pierce has confirmed he’s already getting plans underway for the episode, though an official date has yet to be set.
Behind the scenes, WWE has also been prepping some fun content for this occasion. According to PWInsider.com, WWE filmed exclusive material with the trio at their Stamford, CT, headquarters weeks ago. The footage reportedly includes Big E, Woods, and Kingston celebrating together and tossing ice cream to WWE staffers around the HQ—classic New Day flair.
With a decade of unforgettable moments, title wins, and undeniable chemistry, The New Day has cemented its place as one of WWE’s most iconic tag teams. This dedicated episode of Raw is shaping up to be an unforgettable tribute to Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston. Fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to relive their favorite New Day moments and see how WWE will celebrate their impact on the wrestling world.
