Samantha Irvin’s unexpected exit from WWE ahead of a recent Monday Night RAW episode surprised many in the wrestling community. She revealed that she never truly enjoyed her role as an announcer in WWE, which led to some backlash. While there was speculation that she might join AEW, Ricochet clarified that this was not the case and addressed his previous comments to set the record straight.

Following the news of Samantha Irvin’s WWE departure, there was a large section of fans who were insanely furious at Ricochet and blamed him for her exit. Some even felt that Ricochet would ruin Irvin’s career. Ricochet would then clarify to fans that Irvin was not making her way to AEW.

Haha, she’s not coming to AEW. You can all rest easy.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Ricochet talked about him denying Irvin’s move to AEW and cleared the air on the matter. Ricochet noted that he did not need to clear up that she’s not coming to AEW.

Ricochet thought the rumors were funny and pointed out that what people say online isn’t real. Ricochet explained that while social media is important for promotion, it doesn’t represent their real lives. He mentioned that during his travels, fans have never told him he made a mistake or needed to change his wrestling style. He encouraged people to speak up if they have opinions but reminded them not to be afraid of how he might respond.

“I kind of think it was funny. No, I didn’t need to clear up that she’s not coming to AEW. Again, I kind of think it was funny. None of that’s real. It’s not real. No (X is not real). It’s not. I guess you need social media for a lot of promotion, you need it for a lot of stuff, especially nowadays but as far as our lives, again, it’s not real because no one says that stuff to us in real life. Anytime I meet anybody and I’ve traveled the world, no one’s ever said, you made a big mistake going — no one’s ever said, you need to change the way you wrestle. No one says that stuff to my face and maybe now they will and I hope you do because — but don’t be afraid of what I say back.”

Ricochet also believes Samantha Irvin got backlash after her WWE departure because she broke tradition. Samantha Irvin decided to leave WWE after thinking about it for a long time because she wanted to focus on her music career. Her supporters are eager to see her succeed, no matter what path she chooses. Irvin also expressed that she doesn’t care about the opinions of her critics and is determined to pursue her passions.
