The Undertaker’s commitment to giving everything for the fans has made him a true legend in wrestling, though it hasn’t come without its costs. While he hasn’t been in the ring for a while, he recently revealed that he still feels capable of competing in the squared circle.
The WWE Hall of Famer officially retired from in-ring competition at Survivor Series in 2020. His last match took place at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, where he defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard match.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, The Undertaker was asked if he believes he can still wrestle after his retirement. The Undertaker made it clear that he feels he could still step back into the ring after retirement. He mentioned feeling pretty good and admitted he could still wrestle, though not to the level he would want.
There are certain moves he doesn’t think he could perform anymore. However, after his last performance, he felt content and didn’t see the need to do it again. Still, he left the door open, saying he’d consider it if they needed him for something similar in the future.
“I feel pretty good. Yeah, I could do it. I couldn’t do it to the standard I want to, but yeah, I mean, I could. There are just certain things I don’t feel like I’d be able to do now. But after I did it, I came back and thought, ‘I’m good now. I don’t need to do this again.’ Not saying I wouldn’t if they needed something like that again.”
Even Jim Ross believes The Undertaker still has what it takes to compete in one last match after his retirement. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see whether The Deadman will step foot inside the squared circle for one last match, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
