AEW World Champion Jon Moxley credits his wife, Renee Paquette, as the most profound influence in his life, sharing that he “might very well be dead” had he not met her.

During an interview with Maria Angelova for Authority Magazine, Moxley opened up about the life-changing role Paquette has played, highlighting how their relationship has grounded him during pivotal moments in his career.

Reflecting on his journey and the people who have influenced him, Moxley noted, “I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from a diverse array of the best minds in the business… However, if I had to give out an MVP trophy for the profound difference maker in my life, it would unquestionably go to my wife, Renee Paquette, hands down. I might very well be dead had our paths never crossed.”

Moxley, known for his intense in-ring persona, revealed how Paquette helped him navigate what could have been a destructive path at a critical point in his life. “I was lucky enough to meet her right as I was starting to realize some material success… Now I had something ACTUALLY valuable, I had this person. As it was, I still almost destroyed my entire life, so thankfully, she’s been here to be the linchpin holding the whole damn thing together.”
