WWE is gearing up to bring its signature action to Netflix, and we’re already getting a taste of the star power they’re eyeing.
According to Fightful Select, Netflix has reportedly put in a request for some heavy hitters on the men’s roster, with CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes high on their wish list. While it might seem obvious these big names would make the cut, WWE is keeping fans in suspense—the official word from WWE is that final rosters haven’t been decided yet.
In fact, even the wrestlers are in the dark. Talent apparently said that they haven’t been informed which brand they’ll be representing on Netflix or if there’s a specific method behind the selection process.
October 27 saw a major Netflix commercial and video shoot that drew in stars from both SmackDown and Raw. Among the big names were IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, Motor City Machine Guns, Elektra Lopez, and members of the LWO. Notably, Baron Corbin also attended the shoot—just before his release. Could this shoot hint at the lineup WWE is considering for the streaming giant?
As previously reported, Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome is likely the chosen venue for WWE’s Netflix debut, and excitement is already building. Sources within the venue say WWE hyped up the event as a landmark occasion, though WWE’s keeping specifics under wraps for now.
WWE’s Netflix debut marks an exciting new chapter for both WWE and streaming entertainment, and the anticipation is palpable. With big names like CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes on the table, fans are eager to see how this partnership will elevate the action and drama of WWE programming.
