WWE has several important referees, but that doesn’t mean the company isn’t open to hiring more and bringing in fresh faces. In fact, a new referee made their debut during a recent live event.

Female referees are now common in WWE, with Jessika Carr being a great example of a top referee. Recently, WWE hired Victoria D’Errico as a referee for the NXT brand. D’Errico tried out for WWE during WrestleMania Week in Philadelphia earlier this year, and she has a background in boxing.

NXT’s head referee Darryl Sharma introduced WWE’s newest recruit, Vicky D’Errico, on social media. D’Errico, a former Rough N’ Rowdy boxing champion, made her debut as a referee at an NXT live event in Orlando, Florida. As noted above, she joined WWE after being recruited during the WrestleMania tryouts in Philadelphia and began her training in September. Sharma encouraged fans to welcome D’Errico as she starts her journey with NXT.

“Tonight’s #WWENXT live event in Orlando will see the debut of my latest signee – Vicky D’Errico. Vicky was recruited for our WrestleMania Tryouts in Philly, and started her training in Sept. Please give a warm welcome to the former Rough N Rowdy boxing champion @vickyderrico!”
