Nathan Frazer and Axiom have been on a roll as the NXT tag team champions since winning the titles at No Mercy. They have successfully defended the titles multiple times since then but it appears Nathan Frazer almost missed his most recent title defense during an NXT live event.

NXT held a live event on November 2nd from the Englewood Neighborhood Center in Orlando, FL. One of the matches that was set for the show saw Nathan Frazer and Axiom put their titles on the line against Tavion Heights and Myles Borne.

However, there was genuine tension for Axiom as Frazer wasn’t even at the venue for the match for a long time. Nathan Frazer took to Twitter and was shocked that they even had a title match at the live event.

“WAIT WTF WE HAVE A TITLE MATCH???”

Axiom responded to Frazer and stated that he had called Frazer 20 times before the match, as their match was about to start in a few minutes. Frazer then showed his call log and revealed that Axiom called him 21 times.

“Brother! I’ve called you 20 times. What are you doing???! We’re up in a few minutes”

Due to this, Axiom had to square off against Tavion Heights and Myles Borne all on his own and things definitely didn’t look good for Axiom at all. Thankfully, Nathan Frazer did arrive at the right moment before Axiom lost the match, as he was still wearing street clothes and hit Borne with his luggage bag.

It was apparent he went into the venue straight out of an Uber and didn’t have time to change. Thankfully, Frazer and Axiom would ultimately retain their NXT Tag Team Titles in the end, but it was certainly a close call. We certainly hope Frazer doesn’t end up being so late for any of his future matches ever again.
