WWE Crown Jewel went down at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The night includes some big matches, and a lot of fans are wondering who will be announcing those Superstars to the ring.

Samantha Irvin’s recent WWE departure left a hole on WWE television, one that Lilian Garcia filled promptly. On the SmackDown side, Alicia Tylor is still holding it down, but no main roster announcer will be on the show.

Wrestle Votes tweeted out to confirm that Mike Rome will be on hand to make the announcer calls for Crown Jewel 2024. Rome is currently on the NXT brand.

“With ring announcers being a hot topic lately, it’s worth noting that Crown Jewel’s ring announcer will be NXT’s Mike Rome.”

Mike Rome has actually been chosen in the past over main roster announcers for the Crown Jewel show. This is not a huge surprise, but it is also interesting to note that WWE is going with Rome for their big Saudi Arabian show.

Mike Rome was on the main roster, but he was moved to NXT when Alicia Taylor was moved up to SmackDown. Of course, Samantha Irvin wasn’t moved, but she did decide to leave WWE recently.

Mike Rome has really enjoyed this transition to NXT, and he doesn’t have to make the road dates with WWE’s busy travel schedule. That being said, Rome is still in Saudi Arabia, so he made the trip with the WWE crew this time.
