WWE Crown Jewel went down at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The night included a couple grudge matches, but Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed certainly had a lot to hash out.
Seth Rollins wanted to get back at Bronson Reed after that attack after SummerSlam. Rollins returned to interrupt that Last Monster Standing match, and it all came to a head in Saudi Arabia. However, Rollins was sent to the hospital during RAW this week after taking a sick bump in the parking lot.
Rollins got a tremendous entrance as fans sang his song, even though he wasn’t 100% for the match. Then he interrupted Bronson Reed’s entrance by jumping him before the match could even get started. They brawled for a bit, and Rollins made it back to the ring, but he nailed a dive on Bronson Reed before he could join him in the ring.
Saudi fans sang Rollins’ song even more as he stalked Reed around the ring and leapt into his arms so he could jump him into the timekeeper’s area. The match hadn’t started yet, but did as Rollins sold Reed’s attack.
Bronson Reed nailed a Tsunami, but he missed the second one. Then he hit a Stomp, but Reed kicked out at two. Seth Rollins’ back was pretty marked up, likely due to his brawl with Reed before the match. Reed reversed a Pedigree attempt into a backdrop, and fans chanted “You Suck!” at Reed.
The match continued and Seth picked Reed up, only to fall back into a pinfall, but he kicked out at two. Reed backed Seth into the corner, but he returned fire with chops before Rollins turned a powerbomb into a DDT, but he couldn’t get a pinfall attempt.
Reed kept delivering one big move after another, but Seth Rollins kept kicking out. Then Bronson put Rollins down, and he climbed up to the top rope, but Seth rolled away. Reed got down, and he hit a swanton and climbed up again, but Rollins rolled out of the ring. Then Reed followed the Visionary outside the ring.
Reed teased nailing Rollins with the steel ring steps, but Seth took him out at the knees and nailed a stomp on the steps. Then Reed got in the ring, and he hit another stomp, followed by Rollins going to the top rope to hit a Super Stomp off the top rope for the win.
The Saudi Arabian fans were thrilled to see Seth Rollins win this big match, as Bronson Reed put up an incredible fight. Michael Cole also said on commentary that Reed has proven that he belongs in the main event, and Corey Graves agreed with him.
Reed stood straight up, and he had a big gash in the corner of his eyebrow. With blood coming from his face, he stared down Seth Rollins. Then Rollins said that he’ll make Bronson Reed famous if he comes after him again.
