Kevin Owens has been on a mission to get back at those whom he feels betrayed him and it all started with Randy Orton, as the two faced off against each other at Crown Jewel. Things didn’t go the way anyone would have expected in the match and now it appears Owens has addressed the controversial ending to the match and his own condition.

Kevin Owens kept his promise to make Randy Orton pay for choosing Cody Rhodes over him following Bad Blood. As soon as Owens entered the ring, he attacked Orton with multiple chair shots, focusing on battering down The Apex Predator.

The match never officially started, as their fight spilled outside the ring. In the end, Owens smashed Orton with the top of a road case and laid him on a table. Climbing to a higher platform, Owens finished the assault with a huge elbow drop, crashing both of them through the table, marking the end of a brutal encounter with no proper winner. Footage then showed Randy Orton being carried out of the arena, as he was simply too hurt to get out on his own.

While speaking during the Crown Jewel post-show, Kevin Owens stated that he never actually wanted the match to happen, and it didn’t even end up being a real match. But he didn’t mind. What mattered to him was seeing Randy Orton unable to walk out on his own; instead, he had to be wheeled out. Owens mentioned he might have broken his ribs, but he was still able to walk out, unlike Orton. In the end, Owens felt he got exactly what he wanted.

“I never wanted any of this, I never even wanted this match. The match didn’t really happen, did it? But that’s okay. To see Randy walk out, no cause he didn’t walk out, he was wheeled out. You know what we did? We walked out of that accident we were in, so Randy Orton feels even worse than he did after, feels worse than I do now. I think I broke my ribs but I walked out. Yeah I got what I wanted.”

It remains to be seen whether Randy Orton will need time off to recover from the injuries he suffered at WWE Crown Jewel. WWE has made it clear that Kevin Owens is out of control and determined to take down anyone in his path, so Cody Rhodes could be next.
