WWE Crown Jewel is set to go down in Saudi Arabia, but Kevin Owens is not doing very well before the show. He has a lot of things going on in his brain, including a brewing conspiracy against him that tried to take him out via dune buggy.
Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood 2024 as he boarded his bus. Randy Orton tried to mediate, but Owens attacked him on SmackDown on October 11, as he felt that Orton sided with Rhodes. Orton requested a match with Owens, but SmackDown GM Nick Aldis denied it, citing orders from above. On the October 25 SmackDown, Orton confronted Triple H, who then scheduled the match for Crown Jewel.
Prior to WWE Crown Jewel 2024, Kevin Owens cut an interview with Cathy Kelley about his upcoming match against Randy Orton. Things took quite a turn as he remembered something that went down a couple of days before the event went down in Saudi Arabia.
“Two days ago we got here in Saudi Arabia, and we were told by WWE, ‘we have some great activities lined up for you guys in the middle of the desert, go enjoy yourselves.’ And we get out there in a dune buggy, and what happened? We flipped, we rolled over, several times, three times — we were in a car accident two days ago, and you know why?”
“I have no doubt that driver was paid off by Randy Orton or Cody Rhodes to make that happen, because everyone is against me. You realize that? Ever since I attacked the little golden boy, oh no you can’t touch Cody!”
Kevin Owens went on to say that he “loved” Randy Orton, but he will make Orton feel worse than they felt getting out of that dune buggy. Cathy Kelley was apparently in that dune buggy as well, and Owens said she was just “collateral damage,” which is apologized for.
Corey Graves confirmed that the accident did happen, but he cannot confirm if anyone was paid off. Either way, we’re very happy to hear that everyone was able to walk away from that accident, but rolling over three times in a dune buggy was no fun at all.
Kevin Owens is obviously going through a lot of things right now. He is conflicted to face his old friend, Randy Orton, at Crown Jewel. Either way, it seems that he is certainly amped up for the match.
