Gunther, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, is heading into WWE Crown Jewel with a point to prove. As he prepares to face Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship, Gunther is determined to establish himself as the ultimate champion in WWE.

Speaking on WWE La Previa, Gunther explained why he believes he’s on a different level from Rhodes.

“I think I’m a little bit more honest because I can say I do this for myself,” Gunther stated. “My success is the most important thing to me. Cody is someone who always does this for somebody else… It’s for somebody else. He just really forces the attention to him, and I think that makes me a more confident champion than him because I don’t need that backup.”

Gunther emphasized that while Rhodes carries the weight of his family’s legacy, he stands firmly on his own.

“I just have to do what I always do, be the best in that ring, dominate that match… and will make clear that Cody truly is the secondary champion to me. I’m already setting the standard on Monday Night Raw, and I’m gonna prove that I’m the one that sets the standard in all of WWE.”

As tensions mount for their Crown Jewel clash, Gunther is set to deliver his signature intensity in the ring, promising fans a showdown that will decide who truly stands as WWE’s top champion.
