Goldberg was ringside at WWE Bad Blood 2024 in Atlanta. He also teased an altercation with GUNTHER, but there was no follow-up. It turns out that Goldberg has his eyes on one more match, and it will happen next year.

Triple H teased that the juices were flowing with Goldberg once again. He could have more than one match left in him, but we know when he will officially wrap up his in-ring career.

WWE sent out a video of Goldberg making the announcement that he will have his last match in 2025. The post also came with an attention-grabbing caption.

“🚨 BREAKING: @Goldberg just announced that his retirement match will take place NEXT YEAR! 👀”

We had previously confirmed that Goldberg wasn’t around for Crown Jewel. Instead, he was stateside, and announcing that his retirement is coming next year.

There is also a chance that Goldberg’s son, Gauge, may get involved, since he’s become known for his tackling with Coach Prime’s University of Colorado Buffaloes. We will have to see how this unfolds in the ring.

Goldberg had previously tried to set up his retirement match on his own. The fact that WWE re-posted this video on Twitter is certainly a sign that they want that match to go down under their umbrella. Only time will tell if Goldberg gets to have that retirement match in Israel as he wanted to.

Next year will be a big year for retirements, because John Cena is also coming back for a retirement tour. The Greatest of All Time will do over 35 appearances, but it’s uncertain how many times he will actually wrestle. The same is true for Goldberg, but fans should expect to see him wrestle at least once, and for the last time, in 2025.
