Samantha Irvin’s sudden departure from WWE right before a recent episode of Monday Night RAW caught the wrestling community off guard. She claimed that she gave her notice well in advance of her exit, and now WWE’s response to her claim has been revealed.
Samantha Irvin left WWE while she was quite popular, especially for her unique and memorable introductions for stars like GUNTHER and Chelsea Green. Even with her rising fame, Irvin felt it was the right time to step away from the company.
The former WWE announcer recently claimed that she has given her notice to the company regarding her departure back in August this year, which was long before her exit. However, some fans questioned her claim as she never got a proper sendoff.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider was asked about Samantha Irvin claiming she informed WWE about her exit long before she quit. He stated that some people in WWE don’t believe she gave such early notice. They think the company would have quickly moved on if that were true. Some also feel her recent Twitter comments hurt her credibility, possibly because she is upset about not having a bigger role in WWE.
Most people in WWE believe she announced her departure at the same time she actually quit since she didn’t say goodbye the week before. Reports say she might have told the company the week before but kept it to herself. One source mentioned how the company handled Kayla Braxton’s exit and suggested that if Irvin had left differently, she could have gotten a proper farewell. Many people liked her when she was there.
“I’ve heard from some in WWE who felt the idea she quit so far in advance didn’t hold up, no matter what she wrote online, as the company would have, as one person said, “cut bait and moved on ASAP.” They’ve also felt that her Twitter comments since have undercut her credibility, but I think part of that is sour grapes over her publicly knocking that she didn’t get a bigger role in the company. The general belief when she made the announcement among most in WWE was that she quit the same time she made the announcement, especially since she didn’t say any goodbyes the week before. We know there were sources who were told she quit that day. The belief now is that she informed the company the week before and kept it to herself. One source pointed out how the company treated Kayla Braxton’s exit and said that had Irvin handled things differently, she’d likely have gotten a big sendoff as well. She was liked when she was there.”
WWE was also upset over Samantha Irvin’s recent social media posts following her exit. It has been reported that several factors contributed to Samantha Irvin’s departure from WWE, particularly scheduling conflicts. However, the company is open to the possibility of her returning for cameo appearances in the future. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see how Samantha Irvin will fare as a musician, as that is her current goal.
