Samantha Irvin’s unexpected exit from WWE just before a previous episode of Monday Night RAW surprised the wrestling community. She expressed that she never enjoyed announcing in WWE, which led to some backlash. Following her comments, WWE’s internal reaction to Irvin’s social media posts has been revealed.
Samantha Irvin recently admitted that she never liked announcing in WWE and that she wanted to do more in the company, such as managing or becoming the General Manager for a brand.
“I don’t like announcing. I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer.”
Samantha Irvin’s comments about not enjoying her role as an announcer in WWE upset many fans. Some called her out for criticizing WWE and even labeled her as pathetic. Many people also assumed that Irvin never liked wrestling at all, which added to the negative reactions. Irvin would clarify her stance and made it clear that she loved WWE and wrestling in general but simply wasn’t a fan of her announcer role.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many people in WWE respected Irvin’s decision to leave, but they were unhappy about her recent social media posts and comments. Since she was no longer with the company, they couldn’t force her to remove them.
Samantha Irvin’s decision to leave WWE was something she had been contemplating for a very long time, as she ultimately wants to focus on her music career now. Therefore, Irvin is more than happy with her decision and no one can change her mind in that regard no matter what.
