Mexican wrestler El Hijo del Vikingo hasn’t had a great 2024 so far. He began the year with a knee injury that forced him to miss several months of in-ring action. He then suffered another knee injury recently, but it appears he has confirmed plans to return after the injury.
El Hijo Del Vikingo gave fans a huge scare after being stretchered out during TNA Wrestling’s tapings on October 27. During his match with Trent Seven, Vikingo hurt his leg after a dive, leading to him being taken out on a stretcher.
Vikingo took to his Instagram and revealed that, thankfully, he didn’t tear any ligaments or muscles. His doctor told him to rest for five days, and then he’ll start rehab, aiming to fully recover in about 20 days.
Vikingo explained that he took a hard hit to his right knee, but no major damage was done. After resting, he’ll work on getting back to 100% in 15-20 days. He thanked TNA, AAA, and everyone who sent him messages for their support.
“On Sunday I had a hard blow to my right knee. Thank God, it didn’t affect any ligaments or muscles. I have to rest it for five days to allow it to deflate, then start rehab until I’m 100% recovered. I will be out for 15-20 days. Thanks to TNA and AAA for being vigilant. Thanks to everyone who took the time to send me a message. Thank you!”
It is most definitely a relief that the Mexican Superstar will not have to be out of action for an extended period of time for his current injury. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for him once he makes his triumphant return to in-ring action.
