NXT is rolling with new momentum as they are playing new buildings with their fresh CW deal. They are still building toward big premium live events, so fans shouldn’t forget about Deadline.

WWE’s NXT brand has established many yearly events that fans can mark on the calendars, just as we just had with Halloween Havoc 2024. Although we do not know the specifics of this year’s Deadline premium live event, there are plans for the show to go down.

During an update on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp reported that NXT Deadline is coming this year, but the date hasn’t been nailed down just yet. We also don’t know the location, but fans should still expect it in December.

For those asking about NXT Deadline, we have heard that the event is tentatively planned, but a date has yet to be confirmed by us. One source speculated the event could be during the first or second week of December.

2022 marked the first year for NXT Deadline, as the show went down on December 10 in Orlando. 2023’s event took place in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 9. Only time will tell where 2024’s event will go down, but it seems that WWE isn’t looking to break that yearly tradition.

Deadline refers to how the year has ticked down, and we are at the end of the line. Of course, there is no stopping pro wrestling as 2025 will include even more action, and odds are NXT will cap off next year with another Deadline event so they can keep that yearly tradition going.

Last year’s NXT Deadline main event saw Ilja Dragunov successfully defend the NXT Title against Baron Corbin. Neither of those Superstars are in NXT at this point, so that certainly opens the possibilities for the next wave of main event talent in WWE’s developmental brand to take center stage.
