WWE has officially provided an update on Rhea Ripley’s condition following the shocking attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez during the October 29 episode of NXT. The incident left fans stunned as Ripley, a former WWE Women’s Champion, was shown bleeding from the head in a brutal segment that aired just before the main event.
The company took to Twitter to share the news about Ripley’s injuries, writing:
“DEVELOPING STORY: Following last night’s brutal attack at the hands of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the NXT parking lot, Rhea Ripley has suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.”
The attack took place when Ripley was seen supporting Zaria and other NXT Superstars, looking confident and comfortable back in her old NXT stomping grounds. However, moments later, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were spotted backstage with baseball bats, walking away from the scene of the crime. Ripley was discovered near her car, bloodied and severely injured, shocking both fans and WWE officials alike.
As previously reported, there was concern within NXT about the amount of blood shown during the segment. However, it was ultimately greenlit by what was described as a “higher power,” which could have included WWE executives like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, or CW executives.
The feud between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley has clearly escalated to new heights, and with Ripley sidelined for the foreseeable future, the storyline has taken an intense and unexpected turn. Liv Morgan has already reacted to the incident, but it remains to be seen how long Ripley will be out of action and how WWE plans to build on this shocking development.
As fans wait for further updates on Ripley’s recovery, the question remains: will this brutal assault lead to an even more intense showdown between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley when she returns?
