Vince McMahon isn’t done making headlines. Yesterday, news came out that McMahon is preparing to launch a new “entertainment hub company” focused on producing TV and film projects. While the project isn’t expected to have any ties to wrestling, Fightful has now provided additional insight, confirming that McMahon’s team is exploring potential opportunities for upcoming ventures.
Despite initial buzz, sources suggest that skepticism within the entertainment world is already setting in. One actor expressed doubts, stating, “I find it hard to believe that anyone would attach themselves to this company considering his background, but there are plenty of people who just don’t care and are desperate to get their project off the ground.” The actor added, “I can’t imagine anything actually getting done until his lawsuit is settled.”
As previously noted, this project has been in the works for months, particularly after several WWE employees with seemingly stable roles unexpectedly left the company. Now, those moves appear to be connected, though WWE talent have confirmed that they’ve had no involvement and were kept in the dark.
“WWE talent that we’ve spoken to claim that they’ve not been contacted, and did not know of Vince McMahon’s plans to start a new company. “
While McMahon’s return to the entertainment world may raise eyebrows, it’s not without movement. Fightful Select has confirmed that interviews have begun for potential roles in the new venture, but specific details remain scarce.
“People within the entertainment industry interviewed by the group for possible upcoming projects. However, those details are few and far between. “
This project marks a pivotal new chapter for McMahon, who stepped away from TKO Group Holdings earlier this year amidst legal troubles. Whether the entertainment company will succeed or hit roadblocks remains to be seen, but McMahon appears determined to push forward.
